About Aaron

Before:
Aaron attended Tacoma School of the Arts initially for photography, before finding a love (and a second home) in the video production studio. He then spent the rest of his time in high school slowly working on building his skills and resume, culminating in producing two feature-length films in the course of three years. Ask him about them! He will gladly show you one.
From there, he attended Seattle Pacific University, acquiring a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and a Master’s Degree in Education. All the while, having a desire and a love to capture images- though normally for his friends’ bands (and occasionally taking time-lapse videos of his journeys up and down the elevators of the Space Needle). As his early career commenced, he found himself shooting less and less, until eventually selling his (first, at the time) DSLR - a Canon 60D that he had acquired after his sophomore year of college.
Teaching would draw him overseas, and would subsequently put another DSLR in his hands, though this time one he would keep for even less time. And for 18 months from June of 2022 (his return from Kuwait) to January of 2024, he didn’t shoot anything on any camera other than his cell phone.
Then:

In March of 2024, he purchased a Kodak Ultra F9 and a roll of Kodak Ektar 100 color film. He shot the roll on a walk around downtown Tacoma, and took it to a photo lab that promised same-day development. And they delivered! Most of the shots were garbage, but they made him feel something again with photography. He then, rather quickly, found himself shooting at least one roll of 35mm film a week on a used Canon A-1, and would end up shooting over 100 rolls of film by the end of 2024.
2025 would bring a revelation- teaching wasn’t for him anymore. And a tough conversation with a good friend helped Aaron realize that photography (along with Tacoma) was the home to which he needed to return.
Now:
Aaron is geared up and ready to bring your vision to life!
